For too long, continued underfunding – in combination with current state fiscal crises – forces school districts to either raise taxes or dip into general education budgets to make up for the shortfall, thereby cutting other critical services.
Over the past 10 years, the number of U.S. students enrolled in special education programs has risen 30 percent. Three out of every four students with disabilities spend part or all of their school day in a general education classroom. In turn, nearly every general education classroom across the country includes students with disabilities. Each school and school district must determine the best way to conduct programs and figure out how to pay for them.
EdvoCare is highly recognized as experts in the special education field and on the internal process for creating and implementing IEPs that are compliant with the IDEA 2004 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Due do to many of EdvoCare advocating and educations efforts, local public schools are now educating many special needs children, and a growing number of them are graduating from high school. Only three decades ago, these same children would have not received the special education services they needed.
It takes a team of dedicated people to make sure our organization is reaching out to as many communities as it can so kids everywhere have access to our education services. We're fortunate to have some of the best dedicating their time, energy, and expertise to our cause.
A dream team to empower the education system.
